Héctor Bellerín from Arsenal arrives on loan to Real Betis

Official: Héctor Bellerín from Arsenal joins on loan to Real Betis

Bellerin joins Betis

News Last night it was broken at the last minute that Héctor Bellerín was turning out to be interesting for the Spanish Real Betis.

Today, that news was cemented, with Athletic’s Arsenal correspondent David Ornstein revealing that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs to borrow the 26-year-old Arsenal player.

Bellerin will take a pay cut, as Willian did, in order to get away from the Gunners.

Sadly, according to the same report, there will be no option or purchase obligation embedded in the deal, meaning that Bellerin will return to North London and be left in the same situation in 12 months, a recurring theme this summer.

The lack of a potential sale at the end of the loan will be a frustration for Arsenal fans, but the loan offers Bellerin the opportunity to rediscover some form and reassert his value to bring Arsenal more money next season.

The Spanish club officially announces its incorporation

However, after 9 years and 239 appearances for the Gunners, Bellerin has started a new chapter, being officially introduced as a new Real Betis player.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have spent around £ 16m on a deal by Bologna right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to fill the void left by the Spaniard.

Will the trade be a success for the Gunners?
