The latest news from the media on Monday night suggests that Real Madrid have made a final decision on the much-talked about club move by Kylian Mbappé.
Mbappé wants to go out
Of course, in recent days there has been a considerable increase in speculation about the future of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappé.
The French international, who endured a tournament to forget at Euro 2020 this summer, has made clear his desire to leave the Parc des Princes behind before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.
When last Wednesday he drew on the future of one of the most sought-after young talents in world football, PSG sporting director Leonardo explained:
“Kylian Mbappé wants to leave, that seems clear.”
In turn, just one year into his contract with the club, the French capital’s board of directors has no choice but to consider a sale.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid, the La Liga heavyweights, have long been the club most singled out as a potential landing spot for Mbappé.
Los Blancos have been on the trail of the former Monaco man for some time now, with Florentino Pérez evidently keen to make up for the high-profile departures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane this summer.
In turn, it was not much of a surprise when word began to spread late last week that a gigantic offer had finally been made for Mbappé’s services.
It is understood that the offer in question amounts to 170 million euros, plus another 10 million in bonuses:

Subsequent updates in the Spanish media pointed out that an agreement between Real and PSG was almost closed, and some media even pointed to a weekend arrival at the Bernabéu:

However, evidently, such a development did not occur.
Mbappé, for his part, even managed to score a double in PSG’s 2-0 win over Reims on Sunday night.
And, as noted above, the unwavering stance on the part of the board at the Parc des Princes on Monday apparently forced the hand of those in the Spanish capital.
According to Sky Sports, Los Blancos tonight interrupted their efforts to land the French international this summer.
Instead, Florentino Pérez and company. He will direct his attention to the January window, at which point Real Madrid is ‘very sure’ that Mbappé will put a pre-contract agreement with the club in writing:
Real Madrid is moving away from trying to sign Kylian Mbappé.
