Spurs and Villa stars will miss PL games after leaving for international service

Boost to Chelsea: Spurs and Aston Villa stars to miss key matches after flying for international service

The Argentine representatives of both Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa teams left today for international service, it has been confirmed.

Fresh mayhem from Covid

Of course, much controversy has surrounded the next international break.

This is because tensions have been unleashed between the participating nations and the clubs that their stars call home with.

Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a large number of countries have yet to control the spread of the virus. This, in turn, leaves those countries on the ‘red list’ to travel from a host of other nations around the world.

In the UK, for example, Brazil is one of those countries currently on the red list.

This state has led to unavoidable problems for the Selecao national team, and boss Tite undoubtedly intended to summon a large number of Premier League players for the next qualifying round for the World Cup.

If people like Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus and Thiago Silva were indeed selected for international service, then upon their return to the UK, a mandatory 10-day hotel quarantine period would be required.

Of course, this would rule out those players from a minimum of one round of Premier League matches.

It was therefore decided earlier this week that, if English top-flight clubs so chose, they would have the power to prevent players from departing for international service in ‘red list’ countries.

Spurs and Villa take a hit

However, on Sunday, four Premier League stars flew to that nation.

First, Aston Villa issued an official statement, confirming that both Emiliano Martínez and Emiliano Buendía have left to join the Argentine squad.

The goalkeeper and the midfielder have agreed to participate in the first two World Cup qualifiers for Albiceleste, against Venezuela and Brazil.

Both villains, however, will leave the country’s camp early, missing a third and final outing against Bolivia, to ensure their absence is minimized upon returning to England.

A standard 10-day quarantine will occur on the red list as part of the UK’s Covid-19 regulations, but as a result, Martínez and Buendía will only be forced to sit in a lonely place.

This comes in the form of a Premier League meeting with Chelsea on September 11.

Meanwhile, Villa’s two stars will be joined by a couple more representatives from the Argentine Premier League, Tottenham.

In a social media post tonight, the Spurs duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso can be seen preparing for takeoff, on a flight alongside Martínez and Buendía.

In turn, with Nuno Espirito Santo, at the rear of the downfall of his Watford team on Sunday, having confirmed With the intention of the Lilywhites to minimize the impact of the next hotel quarantine facing their stars, it can be assumed that Romero and Lo Celso will also be available for two of Argentina’s next games, before leaving before the 3.

Both, in this case, would also miss a solo Premier League match, against Crystal Palace.
