Liverpool vs Chelsea

The weekend’s Premier League tie will take place on Saturday night.

That clash will see Liverpool as host to Chelsea, a draw that, in theory, should pit two of this season’s title contenders against each other.

Before the game at Anfield, both teams are off to a perfect start to their campaigns.

Liverpool would get a 3-0 win over Norwich and then a 2-0 win over Burnley in their first two league outings of the season.

Chelsea, meanwhile, beat Crystal Palace 3-0 and then Arsenal 2-0 in their first two PL games of 2021/22.

Klopp on Robertson and Milner

Thus, a hotly contested affair is predicted on Sunday, with both teams undoubtedly eager to present as strong a team as possible.

And, on Friday morning, Jurgen Klopp provided a fitness update on his team.

This is largely good news for the Reds, as Andy Robertson will be in the fight after training all week after his injury problem:

“Robbo trained all week, of course [is] in dispute, there is no doubt about that. “

And while James Milner looks like he’s going to lose, Klopp confirmed that everyone else trained and looked good:

“Millie won’t be ready, I think that’s it.

“Everyone else trained and looked good and fit. We should be because obviously Chelsea are also difficult. That’s already like the Champions League, only in the Premier League! “
