Mikel Arteta hints at new deals with Arsenal before the deadline

Arsenal’s business to date

Arsenal have had a busy summer so far, bringing in five new faces for a combined total of over £ 100 million, but they have yet to finish.

The Gunners finished eighth last season, but have since added Ben White and Martin Odegaard to the side, with Sambi Lokonga, Aaron Ramsdale and Nuno Tavares joining the club as backup options for now.

They have also parted ways with several fringe players, with By Lucas Torreira starting after Matteo Guendouzi, Dinos Mavropanos and Joe Willock, while Sead Kolasinac and Willian are subject to transfer speculation.

Arteta hints that the business is not over yet

In what will be a massive encouragement for Arsenal fans, Arteta has hinted that Arsenal’s summer business is not over yet. The Gunners have been linked to a move for a new right-back and central midfielder, and Arteta declined to confirm his business was done at his pregame press conference, saying:

“We have already done a lot of things. The ins and outs, it’s a lot. I think it’s 16, 17 deals in total, with some renovations, and there are still some things to do in the last few days because there are still some question marks and deals that can happen. We’ll see.”

Could the Gunners be intent on bringing in more players as they look to bounce back from a horrible start to the season, or will the rest of the window be taken with squad cuts before the player registration deadline?

Arsenal fans, who would you like to see arrive before the deadline?
