Amid growing Cristiano Ronaldo speculation, claims of 'deal done' with Man City emerge

News from the Portuguese media on Thursday afternoon suggests that Cristiano Ronaldo is getting closer and closer to a move towards Manchester City, the Premier League giant.

CR7 wants to leave

Speculation about the future of the legendary attacker Ronaldo has, of course, risen again in recent days.

This comes after the 36-year-old was benched for Juventus’ season opener against Udinese at the weekend.

This move, according to widespread reports, came at the request of CR7 himself, and the Portuguese international had set his sights firmly on a move away from Turin ahead of the transfer deadline early next week:

A few clubs, in turn, have been singled out as possible landing spots for Ronaldo.

Paris Saint-Germain have inevitably been one, amid suggestions that a Messi-Ronaldo dream couple could come true in the French capital, if Kylian Mbappé opts to join Real Madrid.

Etihad bound?

The past 48 hours, however, have seen another team emerge as a clear leader when it comes to a possible deal for Juventus’ star man.

The outfit in question? City of Manchester.

Following Harry Kane’s shocking announcement that he will in fact not be leaving Tottenham in the next few days, rumors have increased that Pep Guardiola and co. They have turned their attention to Ronaldo.

And, as described above, on Thursday, there have been major developments in the CR7-City saga.

First was reported that an agreement has been reached on the personal terms of a contract between the club and the player.

And quickly following such suggestions has been the following publication on social networks by the Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes, who points out that the transfer is a ‘done deal’:
