The Three Lions then return to England for their second half-time qualifying match, facing Andorra on Day 5.th September at Wembley before traveling to Poland on Wednesday, September 8th, for the final game.

England are heading into these matches from the back of what was their best performance at the European Championship, reaching the final and conceding just two goals in the entire tournament.

Trent & Greenwood will return to England

Gareth Southgate has yet to announce his squad for previous games, but some of the players who are up for a call-up have been provided by The times.

Trent Alexander-Arnold would miss Euro 2020 after winning a injury vs Austria in a friendly just before the competition started.

Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood would also be the provisional Euro team, but withdrew to recover from a underlying injury.

However, it now appears that both players are ready to be retired, according to The Times:

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mason Greenwood are expected to be included in the England squad for the first World Cup qualifiers next month after missing Euro 2020.

Alexander-Arnold has had a solid 2021/22 so far, keeping two clean sheets and providing an assist in two games for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Greenwood has scored two out of two for Manchester United.
