“If I were a gambling man, I’d say he’s staying with the Spurs,” says transfer expert David Ornstein of Harry Kane’s future.

Harry Kane’s Hectic Summer

Harry Kane has been the subject of intense speculation about his future ever since told Gary Neville he wanted to leave Tottenham this summer.

Manchester City has apparently been the only possible destination for the Englishman all summer and, heading into the final week of the transfer window, this remains the case.

However, will a move happen for the 27-year-old?

David Ornstein Has His Opinion

The Athletic’s lead reporter, David Ornstein, spoke to NBC News about the situation heading into the final days of the window and whether he thought a move was going to happen.

When asked about the possibility, Ornstein said:

“I don’t think that’s going to happen [Manchester City making a late bid]. If I were a gambling man, I would say that now he will stay with the Spurs. It’s getting too late and the kind of money Daniel Levy would want is not where Manchester City is at the moment, and Tottenham would have to replace him. “

In other good news for Tottenham fans, he continued:

“What I think is more likely is that Tottenham will bring reinforcements regardless”

Tottenham have been linked with Metz Pape Sarr and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Adama Traore before the window closes, though it remains to be seen if both deals can be achieved in the final week of the transfer season.

However, Kane’s tenure would be worth a lot to Tottenham, even if fans take time to forgive his antics.
