A new perspective will be offered on Monday on when exactly Martin Odegaard could line up for his second debut in the Arsenal colors.

Gunners switch

Of course, the news that the Arsenal faithful had been waiting patiently for for so long finally came last Friday.

After a season in which the club fought so desperately for creativity in the final third, Edu and company. He understandably identified adding a new creative midfielder as a top priority this summer.

In turn, a large number of options were proposed to move to the Emirates, even the likes of James Maddison and the longtime target Houssem Aouar.

However, in recent weeks, a new leader emerged in the Gunners’ search for reinforcements.

The player in question? Martin Odegaard.

Norwegian talent Odegaard spent the second half of last season on loan in North London, adding, when fully fit and shooting, some much-needed forward thinking for Arteta’s ranks in the middle of the park.

In turn, despite the fact that the 22-year-old has divided opinions between the club’s fan base, Edu and company. they were impressed enough to move to Odegaard one more time this summer, this time permanently.

And, on Friday morning, the midfielder’s return to Emirates was confirmed, and Odegaard put pen to paper on a 5-year contract:

Thorns the target

However, on the back of the confirmation regarding his return, attention quickly turned to when exactly Odegaard could mark his return in Gunners colors.

The Norwegian was ineligible to face Chelsea on Sunday night, an absence that was painfully felt en route to Arsenal’s eventual 2-0 loss.

The next step for Arteta and company, meanwhile, is a League Cup second round encounter with West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night.

And, if the last word coming from the media on Monday is something to go through, then it looks like the Hawthorns clash could well mark the one in which the Arsenal faithful get their second look at Odegaard:
