Allegri cancels Ronaldo rumors and says “he will stay at Juventus”

Allegri quashes Ronaldo rumors and says that

Ronaldo, subject of extravagant links

Outlandish reports emerged last week about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, with Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain believed to have been offered the Juventus forward.

According to Italian media, the striker had been offered alongside Pep Guardiola for just £ 25m, as an alternative to his high-profile pursuit of Harry Kane. He also had presumably been attracting the interest of PSG.

Despite having a “bad year”, Ronaldo finished by far the top scorer in Serie A, his 29 goals leaving him five behind new Chelsea signing Romelu Lukaku. He also finished as the top scorer at Euro 2020, with five goals and one assist in four games.

Allegri nullifies the rumors

However, new Juventus coach Max Allegri was quick to downplay rumors that his star man will be leaving Turin anytime soon. Talking to the Italian media [relayed through transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano], Allegri revealed that:

“Cristiano told me that he stays at Juventus. He does not leave the club and it was never a problem “

With just 12 months left on his current contract, it remains to be seen where the Portuguese icon will end up next summer. For now, however, it will apparently remain in Italy.
