Tanguy Ndombele ‘has asked to leave’ Spurs with his sights on one of the 3 clubs

Nuno confirms the position of Tanguy Ndombele / The midfielder 'has asked' to leave with an eye on 3 European giants

A series of notable events took place on Friday afternoon on the Tanguy Ndombele front.

Of course, in recent weeks, whispers have started to emerge around Tottenham midfielder Ndombele’s plight.

The 24-year-old, despite having had no international commitments this summer and apparently being in top form, has not played any role under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo to date.

Ndombele did not participate in any of the Spurs’ preseason outings, before being forced to watch from afar as the Lilywhites kicked off their 2021/22 campaign.

Even last night, when Nuno opted to fully rotate his team for a Europa Conference League qualifier against Pacos de Ferreira, Ndombele stayed at home.

Amid mounting speculation that the Frenchman is not part of their plans for next season, Nuno was inevitably drawn to the plight of his underprivileged midfielder during a press conference this afternoon.

And the Tottenham coach simply went on to explain:

Tanguy wants to go out

Such a statement, in truth, only led to more questions than answers.

However, after the pre-Lobos de Nuno press conference, there have been a number of important updates on the situation.

The most noteworthy have come courtesy of The Athletic’s trusty Jack Pitt-Brooke, who has confirmed that Ndombele has, in fact, made it clear to those in a position of power in North London of his desire to move on this summer.

This explains the hesitation of their new coach to select the former Lyon player as part of their squads for the day:

Not only that, but Ndombele is even said to have drew up a list of 3 teams, outlining their desired destinations: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

However, as things stand, it seems totally unlikely that such a move will occur:
