Martin Odegaard makes a declaration of intent after sealing the change of Arsenal

Arsenal’s newest addition, Martin Odegaard, has opened up his ambitions with the club, after sealing a permanent return to the English capital.

Gunners switch

Of course, the news that the Arsenal faithful had been waiting patiently for for so long finally came today.

After a season in which the club fought so desperately for creativity in the final third, Edu and company. He understandably identified adding a new creative midfielder as a top priority this summer.

In turn, a large number of options were proposed to move to the Emirates, even the likes of James Maddison and the longtime target Houssem Aouar.

However, in recent weeks, a new leader emerged in the Gunners’ search for creative reinforcements.

The player in question? Martin Odegaard.

Norwegian talent Odegaard spent the second half of last season on loan in North London, adding, when fully fit and shooting, some much-needed forward thinking for Arteta’s ranks in the middle of the park.

In turn, despite the fact that the 22-year-old has divided opinions between the club’s fan base, Edu and company. they were impressed enough to move to Odegaard one more time this summer, this time permanently.

And, on Friday morning, the midfielder’s return to Emirates was confirmed, and Odegaard put pen to paper on a 5-year contract:

‘Accomplish something great’

As part of his duties as a newcomer to the Arsenal team, Odegaard has conducted a series of interviews surrounding his decision to return to the Premier League.

And, as outlined above, one particular statement by his latest addition is sure to be a delight to the Gunners’ loyalists.

Speaking to Arsenal TV’s Frimpon, Odegaard this afternoon opened up about his ambitions for the upcoming seasons, confirming not only his intention to stay in the future, but also to “ get this club back where it belongs ”:

‘I feel like I’ve come here to settle down, stay a while and accomplish a lot of good things. I am very motivated to get this club back where it belongs. I really think we can achieve something great here. ‘
