Adama Traoré on Tottenham’s radar; Wolves brace for Spurs offer

Wolves’ long-standing relationship with Spanish international winger Adama Traoré could be in its final days as the club expect Tottenham to come up with an offer to the difficult winger before the window slammed shut.

Traoré, who has only two years left on his current contract and has not yet come to the table to discuss an extension, I could be on my way to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a reunion with former manager Nuno Espírito Santo, especially if the Spurs sell star forward Harry Kane.

The La Masia graduate would cost Spurs over £ 40 million and could fit the Espírito Santo XI in his preferred role, especially if Tottenham decides to forego buying a replacement for Kane and deploying Son Heung-min in the half. Such an injection of cash into the Wolves’ coffers could help them secure other transfer deals before the window closes.

Rafa Mir will be included as a substitute weight in a possible agreement for Gonçalo Guedes

Despite the return of Mexican stalwart Raúl Jiménez and the wide attacking options available to new coach Bruno Lage, the Lobos have been linked to interest in Valencia’s Portuguese international Gonçalo Guedes and could present an offer for the winger that may include Rafa Mir as intermediate weight in the deal.

Mir has spent the last three seasons on loan (two of them in his native Spain), with internships at UD Las Palmas, Nottingham Forest and SD Huesca. It was in Huesca where he had his best moment in senior football, scoring 13 goals in 38 La Liga games. But now, at 24, Mir is far out of reach via the center-forward channel, and a successful stint in Spain could open the door for a permanent comeback if the Wolves continue to push for Guedes.

A delegation led by Jorge Mendes is said to be in Valencia this week in an attempt to strike a deal for Benfica’s 24-year-old youth product, which would add value to a Wolves team under Lage that could do so with additional depth. on the flanks, especially if Traoré is sold.

Wolves target Benfica center forward Carlos Vinícius

With Patrick Cutrone on loan and the possible departure of Rafa Mir, the Wolves have opened talks for Benfica’s Brazilian center forward Carlos Vinícius.

Interest was high this summer for the former Tottenham loaner, but after Spurs refused to take his call option on his previous loan deal, Benfica are looking to move the player this summer with as many as four clubs following. Brazilia, including Wolves.

Both São Paulo and Grémio have been proposed to be interested, as well as the Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this summer, but Vinícius apparently prefers to stay in Europe, thus ruling out returning to his native country. If a deal were to be completed, it would offer the Wolves solid depth down the middle in support of the return of Raúl Jiménez, while also providing more experience and thus giving young Fábio Silva additional time to adjust.
