The two reasons why Tottenham could be forced to stay with Kane this summer

The two reasons why Tottenham could be forced to stay with Kane this summer

Harry Kane’s future is still up in the air

With just 2 weeks to go in the transfer window, the biggest potential move of the summer is still just that, potential. Today, Kane remains a Tottenham player against his will, with Manchester City interested in signing the England captain, but Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell him for less than £ 150m.

However, if he were to leave, Tottenham would need a new striker, something that is becoming increasingly difficult.

Fiorentina name price for Vlahovic

One of the proposed names to replace Harry Kane in North London has been Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, who is also a target of Atlético de Madrid and Manchester City.

Speaking to Ansa, the president of La Viola spoke about it, revealing that:

“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I plan to stay with Vlahovic this summer, I want him to stay.”

However, he also suggested that a large enough offer might be enough to force his hand, saying:

“But if we receive an offer for 100 million euros, I will think about it”

100 million euros (85 million pounds) could well prove beyond Tottenham’s financial capabilities, even with the money recovered from Kane. So far, the club has pledged to spend £ 25 million on Bryan Gil, with £ 42.5 million expected to be spent on Christian Romero next summer as well.

They are clearly looking to gain strength elsewhere as well, with central defense Y central midfield both being looked at.

Martínez will sign a new contract with Inter Milan

The Spurs have received another blow in their search for a possible replacement for Harry Kane. One of those designated was Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez, who was also interesting for Atlético de Madrid and Arsenal from North London.

However, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine will remain at Inter this summer and sign a new contract despite interest from other clubs.

Both pieces of news will come as a heavy blow to the Spurs if they look to replace their talisman, and will surely make them think twice before selling even at 150 million pounds.

Will Kane still be in white on September 1?
