England shines at Euro 2020

2021 was undoubtedly a year that will remain in the memory of English fans.

Euro 2020, of course, would take place during the summer, a year after its original start date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Before the tournament there was some optimism surrounding England after Gareth Southgate had been able to guide them to the 2018 World Cup final.

But it’s hard to imagine anyone could predict that England would do as well as they.

The Three Lions were one of the best teams in the competition, reaching the final and conceding only two goals in the entire tournament.

Of course, they ultimately lost the masterpiece to Italy on penalties. But reaching the final of their first European Championship and knocking Germany out in the round of 16 will make for a memorable summer for years to come.
