Neco Williams achieves a brilliant solo effort as Thiago and more characteristics against Villa

Liverpool star Neco Williams caught the attention of the entire club’s fan base on Monday, after taking to social media to reveal images of himself putting forth notable solo effort in a friendly clash.

Origi among those who point

With so many members of Jurgen Klopp’s team who, of course, saw their preparations for the new season interrupted by commitments on the international stage this summer, the Reds opted to host a friendly on Sunday night.

The clash in question saw Liverpool face a highly mixed Aston Villa side.

Several stars from the first team showed up for the Merseysiders, including players like Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Divock Origi.

The latter, who was actually on the bench for the club’s Premier League season opener against Norwich, opened the scoring for the game, with all of Neco Williams, Curtis Jones and the 16-year-old sensation also getting it right.

The showdown, in turn, saw Liverpool finally run out of winners 4-1.

Williams impresses

However, as outlined above, while club supporters will no doubt be delighted to hear that key midfielders Thiago and Henderson came out of the action unscathed on Sunday, he is actually another one who has appeared and has since held the Headlines.

The player in question? Neco Williams.

Welsh full-back Williams has just come off a difficult campaign at Anfield, in which Jurgen Klopp gave him just three Premier League starts.

However, his remarkable efforts to find the net last night will have made the 20-year-old’s chances of performing more consistently throughout the season absolutely harmless.

This comes with Williams, as shown below, having done excellently intercepting a pass in midfield, before launching a rough effort from the base of the far post.

The stopper, however, did not allow his mistake to lower his spirits, immediately grabbing onto the rebound, flipping the opposing Villa defender inside out and selecting the upper left corner with a precise left-foot strike:
